Berber Excursion

A Single Day trip to explore Berber culture and scenery

Departure at 9:00am from the Riad Hôtel or your accommodation.
We will take the road leaving the plain of "AL Haouz", traveling between the green spaces of olive trees, surrounded by barriers of cactus plantations.

After reaching the village of "Tahanaout" we will take a mountain road (Crossing a variety of landscapes with different colors and sights) leading to "Asni": a big Berber village which welcomes everyone living around it to 'Souks' (Markets) every Saturday, where we will visit briefly.

Option 1: We will continue on the Taroudante road, stopping at a village named "Ouirgane" - specifically at a small house based on top of a hill in the typical Berber style with a nice view - to eat a traditional lunch with a Berber family (A unique and authentic experience while also supporting the locals).

Afterwards, we will follow the Oukaimden road with the wonderful landscapes surrounding it - green areas (With pine trees and nut trees), as well as mountains of different colors (from gray to red). On the way we will stop to view a lot of small scenic villages, making for excellent photo opportunities.

We will then arrive at the Ourika Valley, and return to Marakesh via the village of Agrabe.

Option 2: We continue to Setti Fatma, where we will stop for lunch at a Berber restaurant. With the help of a mountain guide we can visit the waterfall of Ourika.
Afterwards, we'll take the road to Marakesh.
